On Tuesday the 5th of February, a selection of pupils from Year 6 took part in an exciting e-safety conference at the Lewsey Learning Centre. After a short trip on the school minibus, the children were greeted by the lovely staff from Chantry Primary Academy. The whole day was packed with activities and speakers that taught the children about how to stay safe online, make positive choices when surfing the Internet and how to promote e-safety.
Topics covered included: digital footprint, legal consequences of using hurtful comments online, wellbeing linked to social media and how gaming might create an addiction.
Year 6 pupils have come away with a wealth of knowledge, which they will share in a presentation to their year group.
We would like to thank the West Area Partnership for organising such a splendid event and we are looking forward to attending more events across the West in the future.
